What forms of payment do you accept?We accept credit card payments including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. You can also submit credit references to setup Net 30 terms. We can also supply a proforma invoice for payment in advance. We currently do not accept COD.
What is your minimum order for safety cable?Our minimum order for safety cable products are as follows:
- safety cable: 150 pcs minimum
- ferrules: 250 pcs minimum
What is your minimum order for cable assemblies?We accept small or large volume cable assembly orders with a $150.00 minimum.
Do you charge for certifications?We provide a certificate of conformance free of charge, but if material certifications are required there is a $50.00 fee.
Is freight included?
Freight is not included, all shipments are FOB (Freight on Board) in Fairfield, NJ. We can ship using one of our carriers and add to your invoice, or we can ship using your specified carrier and account.
How long are quotes valid for?Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
Can my safety cable order ship today?We can ship your safety cable order same day if all parts are in stock and your order is placed by 10 a.m.
Can I pay a premium to expedite my order?Bergen Cable works diligently to ship all orders on time or ahead of schedule, but we do not accept premium payments in order to expedite an order.
What is the best way to submit my order?You can submit an order via email or fax. Please visit our contact page for further information.
Can I get an electronic copy of my invoice?All invoices are sent via email the day after your product has shipped.

Do you sell electrical cable?We don’t sell bulk electrical cable, but we do occasionally manufacture basic electrical cable assemblies. Please email us details of your electrical cable assembly requirement and we will let you know if we can help.
Do you carry jacketed cable?
Yes, we do carry cable that is jacketed with PVC, nylon, and Teflon. We can also provide cable assemblies with heat shrink tubing.
Can you provide samples?Yes, we can provide samples most of the time. Please contact our sales department with your request and we will let you know what is possible.
Can you provide first article inspections?Yes, we can provide first article inspections. Our base charge for first article inspections is $125.00. First article inspections can cost more depending on the level of inspection required.
What range of cable diameters can you accommodate?Bergen Cable manufactures cable assemblies that range in diameter from miniature to a maximum of 3/8”.
Do you repair safety cable tools?Yes, we do provide repair services for Bergen Cable tools only. If you have tools that require repair please contact our sales department for further information at email@example.com.
Can I purchase safety cable tool components?No, we do not sell individual components.
Can I purchase different size safety cable tool noses?No, we do not sell individual tool noses. If you need a different nose length tool, you will need to purchase spate tool.
Can I use Bergen Safety Cable with another company’s tool?Yes, Bergen Safety Cable is manufactured to SAE specifications, therefore it is usable with another manufacturers tool.
How often should my tool be calibrated?Tool calibration schedules are set by the end user and not by Bergen Cable.
Can I use a piece of safety cable twice?No, you cannot use safety cable twice because the integrity of the cable can be compromised after it is cut.
Is safety cable available in traditional lock wire diameters?
Yes, Bergen Safety Cable is available in .022, .032, and .040 diameters.
What materials are safety cable available in?Bergen Safety Cable is available in 304 and 321 stainless steel as well as Inconel 600 and 625 for high temperature applications.
What material is the most commonly used safety cable made of?The most commonly used material is 321 stainless steel.
How is safety cable packaged and sold?
Safety cable is packaged in bundles of 50, orders must always be in denominations of 50.
